Donnie "Don" Earl Conques was born September 28, 1969 in Lafayette. He honorably served in the United States Navy Reserve from 1989-1997. He married his high school sweetheart, Melissa, and had two beautiful children. Don was a hard working man. Most of his career, he worked as a forklift mechanic working at Daily Equipment, Deepsouth Equipment, and Auto Zone Distribution Center. He also worked as a turbine mechanic at Marine Turbine Technologies and a mechanic and first responder with Youngsville Fire Department. He was talented and a perfectionist at his work. Don always would lend a hand to anyone who needed something repaired.
Don was an excellent husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He enjoyed many things like flying RC helicopters, airplanes and drones, his RC cars, trucks and boats, playing Dungeon Siege and using his flight simulator. He loved going to the movies, eating out, and making people laugh with his hilarious jokes. Don cherished his time most with his family and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
