Donnie Eason Obituary
Mr. Donnie Lewis Eason, 61, passed away Friday morning, November 14, 2008, at the Pierce County Nursing Home.
A native of Pierce County, Mr. Eason had lived in Lake City, Florida for many years before moving back to Pierce County in 1986. He attended Bethel Baptist Church and loved gospel music and his brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Mr. Eason was a son of the late Roy & Viola Monds Eason and was also preceded in death by a sister, Rosa Lee Anderson; and a brother, James Eldon Eason.
Survivors include two sisters, Kathleen E. Batten of Blackshear and Betty E. Boatright of Jacksonville, FL; a brother and sister-in-law, Clifton & Linda Eason of Brenham, TX and several nieces, nephews & other relatives.
Funeral services for Mr. Eason will be held Sunday afternoon, November 16, 2008, at 2:30 from the Pearson-Dial Chapel.
Interment will be in the Alabaha Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 until 9 Saturday evening.
The family asks that employees of the Pierce County Nursing Home and Dr. Susan Brickle serve as honorary pallbearers. Please meet at the funeral home at 2 pm Sunday.

Kat, I am sorry about Donnie's passing, but I know that there is also peace in knowing that he is no longer suffering. The Lord is always in control and now he has another angel with Him in Heaven. Can only imagine what a celebration is going on in Heaven. Love you and your in my prayers, Gina
