Mr. Donnie Gene Glisson

Mr. Donnie Gene Glisson, 65, of Aiken, SC, companion of Tonia Logan and husband of the late Ramona Jackson Glisson, entered rest suddenly on Friday, morning, December 5, 2025.
Born in Fort Bragg, NC, a son of the late Francis Gene and Margaret Key Glisson, Donnie had been an area resident most of his life. Following his graduation from Aiken High School, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. Unfortunately, his time in the Air Force was cut short due to being medically discharged, as the result of an accident.
Prior to his retirement, Donnie was a Diesel Mechanic with Loyalty Transport. He was also known for his carpentry skills. A thoughtful man, Donnie often put the needs of others above those of his own, He truly cared about the well-being of others. A good characteristic, that Donnie never believed to be a fault.
Donnie enjoyed going to Eureka Baptist Church with Tonia, martial arts, survival skills training, puppets and camping. He also had an extensive DVD collection. He could often be found watching movies with Bruce Lee and Elvis Presley, to name a few of his favorites.
Along with his companion, Donnie is survived by his children, Casey (Patricia) Glisson, Kevin Glisson, Corey Glisson, Raven Glisson, Ellen (Henry) Fulmer, Travis (Mary Scott) Glisson, Gage (Vivian) Glisson and Austin (Kat Stambaugh) Glisson, and Ramey Jackson siblings, Ann (John) Royal, Michael (Karen) Glisson, Timmy (Chantay)Glisson, Julianne (Gary) Smith and Rodney (Tracie) Glisson, grandchildren, Silas Glisson, Isaac Glisson and Thyri Glisson, as well as an abundant amount of nieces and nephews several other extended family members and numerous friends.
Along with is wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Bonnie Bradley.
Friends will be greeted by the family on Tuesday, December 9, 2025,beginning at 11 o'clock at the Eureka First Baptist Church, Eureka, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at noon at the church. Brother John Arthur will officiate.
Considering his love for dogs, memorials may be given in memory of Donnie to the Albrecht Center for Animal Welfare (www.letlovelive.org) or the Wounded Warrior Project. (please designate K-9 program)
