Dora (Swinford) Brewer-Wilson, former resident of the rural McLoud area near Jacktown, died on February 12, 2025, at FountainBrook Assisted Living, Midwest City, Oklahoma. She was born in Wellston, Oklahoma on October 23, 1925, to Roy and Agnes (Green) Swinford. She graduated from Wellston High School in 1943. Dora was a member of Mammoth Baptist church, a member of Nicoma Park Eastern Star, and a member of the Past Grand Representatives Club. She retired from Allied Super Markets after 37 years.
Dora was preceded in death by her husbands, R.J. Brewer and Sherman Wilson; her parents, Roy Swinford and Agnes Swinford; two sisters, Wanita Swinford and Ellen Barnes; one brother, Harold Swinford; and a nephew, Ralph Barnes.
Survivors include her stepchildren, Carol (Wilson) Crain and husband Danny Crain of Plano, Tx., Linda (Wilson) Burger and husband Scott Burger of Edmond, Ok., and Keith Wilson and his wife Treasha Wilson of Edmond, Ok; nephews, Rodney Roberts and wife Theresia Roberts, Roy Swinford, and Ray Swinford and wife Julie Swinford; niece, Rhonda Kay Swinford; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other family members and friends.
