Mrs. Dora King Burchett, age 63, of Richmond, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Compassionate Care Center.

Mrs. Burchett, the daughter of David and Frances (Grant) King, was born in Charleston, South Carolina on August 14, 1961. She and her late husband, Richard, owned a cab company in Berea, as well as drove for Northwest Trucking and they enjoyed traveling together. She loved music and enjoyed doing word searches. Her greatest joys in life were her family, being with others and, primarily, her relationship with Jesus Christ. She was a member of Kirksville Baptist Church.

In addition to her mother, Dora is survived by her brother: Jessie (& Peggy) King, her sister: Ann (& Brent) Eaves, her nieces and nephews: Bettina Priddy, Carolyn (& Chris) Bowles, Hannah (& Adam) Banta, Sarah (& Chancellor) Wright, Rebecca Eaves, Bruce (& Marcy) Whittaker and Bryan (& Nickie) Whittaker, her great nieces and nephews: Cooper Wright, Jack Wright, Allie Priddy, Cadence Johnson, Madison Whittaker, Skylar Whittaker, Jayce Whittaker, Harper Whittaker and Bella Cassetta and her sister-in-law: Vickie King.

In addition to her husband, Dora was preceded in death by her father, David King and her brother: David Wayne King.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 PM Monday, August 11, 2025, at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Dennis Hisle and Rev. Butch Pennington officiating.

Burial will follow in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Bruce Whittaker, Bryan Whittaker, Jeff Grant, Donald Grant, Chancellor Wright and Adam Banta.
