Dora Margaret Chassereau, 84, beloved wife of the late Hulin L. Chassereau, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, January 11, 2026.
Born in Greenville, SC, she is a daughter of the late Willard A. and Helen Bryant Bayne.
Mrs. Chassereau was a member of Holmes Memorial Church. Margaret's life was illuminated by her deep love for Jesus and her unwavering commitment to serving her church. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and nurturing her relationships.
Margaret was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. She devoted more than 50 years of her life to her husband, and her love for him was evident in everything she did. She was an anchor for her family, embracing her role with joy and pride.
Margaret's spirited personality was reflected in her candid nature. Those who had the privilege of knowing her also appreciated her warmth, her laughter, and her endless love for her family.
She is survived by daughter Michelle Chassereau (Jarred Arnold); sisters; Linda (Sue) Wilson (Gerald Wilson) and Gwendolyn Bayne; brothers; Ray Bayne and WT Bayne; and grandchildren; William Jackson, Maddie Jackson, and Matthew Jackson.
A visitation will be held Thursday, January 15, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, with the funeral service to follow at 10:00 a.m. in the Northwest Chapel. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Interim Hospice, 100 Verdae Blvd., Greenville, SC 29607.
