FANTE, DORA MAE, 93 of Louisville passed away on the morning of October 15, 2024 at her son's with her family by her side.
She was the daughter of the late Harvey Talmadge Adams and Mary Lydia Adams was born on May 19, 1931 in Louisville, KY. She married Kenneth L. Fante on August 16, 1952. Kenneth preceded her in death in January of 2006. She was then blessed with 5 children, Kenneth R. Fante (Karm), Stephen L. Fante (Nancy), Pamela F. Brakmeier (George), Mark A. Fante (Vicky) and Robin D. Fante, 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Mark A. Fante on August 29, 2000.
She had a great love for red roses, traveling (visited every state), Camping, Tony Bennett, decorating beautiful wedding cakes, living in Camp Taylor.
She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church her entire life. As a child, she attended school there and later worked as a librarian. She was active in the Alter Sodality, Social Club and volunteered in many other ways. My mother had the "greatest" love for our father. They never went anywhere without the other tagging along. He adored her just as much. They are back together now!
Her life was as beautiful as the red roses she loved so well and her memory will remain in the lives of everyone she knew and loved.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Monday, October 21, 2024 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 3938 Poplar Level Road with interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 PM on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at Bosse Funeral Home, 1355 Ellison at Barret Avenues.
Expressions of symphony may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church or Hospice Foundation.
