Dorcas Bruce Morgan, age 93, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2025. She was born in Parrottsville, Tennessee on November 25, 1931, and was a lifelong resident of Knoxville. She graduated from Knoxville High School (Class of 1949) and Draughon's Business College. She was a member of Central Baptist Church of Fountain City and a proud retiree from TVA after a 30-year career as an Administrative Analyst.
She was predeceased by her parents, Paul Barron Bruce and Ruby Radcliffe Bruce, and brothers, Leonard Radcliffe Bruce and Gale William Bruce.
Her survivors, of whom she was very proud, are son Walt Morgan and wife Suzanne of Knoxville, and granddaughters, Abby Morgan (fiancé Salem Karadsheh) of Knoxville and Sarah Morgan of Los Alamos, New Mexico. She also leaves behind special friends Rose and Leah.
Our family is thankful for the nurses and staff at Parkwest Medical Center who cared for Dorcas in recent weeks, and we are especially grateful to Vicky Morelock for the dependable care and companionship she has provided for her over the last 18 months.
The family will receive friends at Stevens Mortuary on Tuesday, September 16, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. Burial will be private at Greenwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a gift in Dorcas's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org).
