Doreen M. Carr

Doreen M. Carr, age 64, of Carthage, passed away in mid-November from natural causes.
A native of Trumbull, Connecticut, she was a daughter of the late John and Olympia Sabatino.
Doreen graduated from Stonehill College, in Easton, Massachusetts with a degree in psychology. After graduation, she was a valued employee of the Pitney Bowes corporation in Connecticut. She worked for many years as a jewelry designer and sold her distinctive works at local craft fairs and shops. She was also the owner-operator of Succulent City, where she grew succulent plants with her amazing green thumb. Her last job was as a barista at Starbucks, where she loved meeting new people.
Doreen moved to Carthage in 1999 along with her parents, and her husband, Dennis who all preceded her in death.
Doreen greatly enjoyed cooking, spending time with friends, and caring for animals. She loved her friends and was always ready to help in any eventuality. Her heart was enormous. Doreen's loss has left a huge hole in the hearts of the many who cared for her. But sadness can only be replaced with smiles whenever anyone remembers Doreen.
Friends and family will be gathering for a time to remember the life of Doreen on Monday, January 27, 2025 from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Buggy Town Coffee in Carthage.
