Doreen Ann Conduit

Doreen Ann Conduit, 78, of Indian Land, SC, passed away peacefully in the early morning of January 30, 2024 after struggling with dementia and primary progressive aphasia for more than three years.
She is survived by daughters Dawn and Julia, and grandchildren Aidan, Trevor, Fiona and Eve. Doreen was born in Scarborough, England on April 24, 1945 to parents John and Laura Cooper. After completing school, she moved to California at age 17 and then to New York where she met her husband Peter Conduit. They married in 1967 and moved to Plainview, NY where they lived until moving to Valrico, Florida in the year 2000. Doreen took pride in her international banking job for many years, and even worked towards her bachelors degree at Hofstra University while working full-time, being a mother, and commuting daily to Manhattan. She enjoyed sewing, playing tennis & racquetball, staying active, and being with friends and family. After the passing of Peter in 2016, she moved to South Carolina to be closer to her children and grandchildren. Despite the significant challenges, frustrations & sadness of her disease progression, she thankfully never lost the ability to recognize and communicate with her daughters and close family.
