Brian Kendrick Wills died peacefully at home on August 11 with his wife, Nancy at his side and his son, Brendan nearby.

Brian was born in Baltimore, MD on August 17, 1942, and moved with his family to Rockville Center, NY when he was 3 years old and later moved to Oyster Bay, NY when he was 10 years old.

Brian attended the public schools in Oyster Bay. Upon finishing high school he joined the Army for 4 years stationed in France where he did extensive traveling. Soon after returning to the states he attended and graduated with a Business Degree from Hofstra University in NY.

Brian heart and soul always stayed close to Sagamore Hill (Teddy Roosevelt Homestead) in Oyster Bay as a grounds keeper. This was his first place of employment through his high school years and continued on and off for 25 years. During these years he took advantage of taking many courses in horticulture throughout the US National Park System. He also took advantage of the use of recreation in the US Park System by taking several cross-country trips including 48 states with friends camping.

He continued his career for the Federal Government by becoming a US Postal Carrier. In 1984 he transferred to Manchester, NH office for the remaining 20 years of his employment.

Brian was everything outdoors: hiking and skiing in the mountains, bicycling off and on the road, kayaking in the lakes and rivers, and landscaping his home. He had a lifelong interest in history and culture as well as following all the Boston sports teams. Brian had many active years with the Appalachian Mountain Club and the Granite State Wheelmen Bicycle Club. He also attended the Unitarian Universal Church of Concord.

Brian is survived by his wife, Nancy; his son, Brendan of Concord, NH; his sister, Carole MacIntyre (Tom Schersten) of Montpelier, VT; his nephews, Micum MacIntyre of Calais, VT and Vincent Rossano of Adamant, VT; his niece, Elizabeth Rossano (Griffin Lussier); a beloved great niece, Susanna Rossano of Hardwick, VT; and sister-in-law Jane Phipps of Gainesville, FL.

Brian was pre-deceased by his brother-in-law, Donald MacIntyre, John Phipps and a sister–in-law, Jerri Broglin.

A memorial service to honor the life of Brian Wills will be soon announced and will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Concord, NH.
