Born in Takoma Park, MD, he was the son of the late Jesse Houston Reynolds and Mildred Ernestine Buffner Reynolds. He served in the Army from 1966-69 and was a Specialist 4th Class earning the following medals: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device and Marksman. Ron had many professions throughout his life. He worked as a Secret Service Agent; he was a Route Sales Representative for Hostess Brands; Appliance Sales Representative at Home Depot and during the last part of his life, he had established a successful travel business due to his love of the beach. Most importantly, above all else, he loved his family and would do anything for them.
He was a member of the Elks, Masons, VFW and the Shriners Hospital.
Surviving is his wife of 55 years, Nancy True Reynolds; his children, Ronald J. Reynolds, Jr (Anne-Marie) of Grant, FL, Jennifer Pila (Rob) of Indian Land, SC; siblings, Melvin Reynolds (Paula) of Birmingham, AL, Clark Reynolds of Manassas, VA; grandchildren, Alexa Hink (Johnny) of Arlington VA , Haley Spindler (Todd) of Satellite Beach, FL, Elise Reynolds of Grant, FL, Christian Ressalam (Brooklyn) of Fort Mill, SC, Aryana Pila of Indian Land, SC; and great-grandchildren Amelia and Sophia Spindler of Satellite Beach, FL.
You are invited to an informal open house reception to remember Ronald. Guests are welcome to drop in anytime between 3PM and 7PM on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at The Retreat at Rayfield Clubhouse.
