DOREEN SWARENS (HICKLING)
Age 81, passed away Sunday, April 6th, 2025 at Porter Place in Tinley Park.
Doreen is survived by her loving family, children, Cathrine (Ken) Schipman, Wendy Swarens, Kevin (Chris) Swarens, sibling, Len Hickling, grandchildren, Patrick Schipman, Emily Schipman, Ellis (Tristan) Donofrio, Kyle Swarens and Reese Swarens.
Doreen was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard & Ada Hickling (Perrins), husband, Larry Swarens, siblings, Ernest Hickling and Gilbert Hickling.
Doreen retired from Lincolnway Area Special Education. She was a volunteer election judge and loved to travel, sing, dance and especially spend time with her grandchildren. Doreen was known for her British sense of humor and strong patriotism for her homeland in England and the United States.
Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Friday, April 11th, 2025 from 3:00 PM until time of funeral service at 7:00 PM. Interment will be private.
