Doreen Wilson Obituary
Born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, she was a daughter of the late Percival and Myrtle (Gordon) Hamilton. Doreen was a graduate of the Women's College Hospital in Toronto. She worked as a Registered Nurse for more than 50 years, spending her last 39 years at St. Luke's Hospital in Allentown (formerly Allentown Osteopathic) until retiring in 2008. Doreen enjoyed sewing and traveling, was an avid Eagles football fan and always cared for animals. She loved her family immensely and was extremely proud to be a Canadian.
Survivors: Daughters, Sheralee Wilson of Tamaqua, Lynette Romig and her husband Charles of Slatington, Rhonda Rodriguez and her husband Michael of Portland, Oregon; 3 grandchildren, Matthew Romig, Olivia Romig and Jared Rodriguez. Doreen was also preceded in death by a brother, Donald Hamilton.
Services: A graveside service will celebrated at a later date in warmer weather. Arrangements are entrusted to the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, Allentown.

I had the privilege of working with Doreen in the ER at St. Luke's Allentown. She was a wonderful nurse and a lovely person.

A great Co-worker, Nurse and seamstress. She told me her retirement plan was a boat on a Lake in Canada. That is how I will think of Doreen from this time forward. She was a very Special person ;please accept my condolences on a tremendous loss.
