Doretta Kay Clark, 68, a resident of the Gaston community passed away on May 27, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family.
Doretta was born on December 9, 1953 in Heppner, OR she was one of eight children born to Floyd and Helen (Stumper) Barth. When she was a little the family moved to Mott, North Dakota and then when she was in the second grade she moved to Gaston. In the seventh grade her family moved again to Bothell, WA where she graduated from Inglemoore High School with the Class of 1971.
She met her future husband, Terry Clark, through her older brother. They soon began dating and they married on August 15, 1975 in McMinnville, OR. They made their home in Gaston.
Doretta was a loving and devoted mother to her two daughters Michelle and Katie. She also worked outside the home as a Food and Nutrition Specialist first at Tuality Community Hospital in Forest Grove and then for Tuality Community Hospital in Hillsboro where she retired. After retiring she worked another 20 years as Diatery manager at Beehive assistant living/Hawthorne House Memory Care and Marjorie House. She had a heart for everyone.
She enjoyed cooking, reading, gardening and camping. She was very fond of her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her three siblings; Calvin, Terry and Raymond.
She is survived by her loving husband, Terry, two daughters and their spouses; Michelle Clark and David Earl Wright of La Pine, Katie Clark and David Esparza of Gaston, four siblings and their spouses; Floyd and Tina Barth of Forest Grove, Kathy and Dick Ellis of Edmunds WA, Cindy Shermerhorn of Forest Grove, Marty and Rae Ann Barth of Scio, seven grandchildren; Jordain, Jesus, Bryce, Jasmine, Deztanne, MarcAnthonee and Auztin.
