It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Doris Andrews, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Doris peacefully departed this life on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at the age of 93, surrounded by loved ones at her residence in Stone Mountain, Georgia.
Doris was born on a radiant Sunday, April 10, 1932, in Atlanta, Georgia. Her life was a testament to love, kindness, and unwavering faith. She dedicated her life to her cherished family and found great joy in her work as a housekeeper at St. Joseph Hospital, where she was employed for over four decades. Doris was respected by colleagues and patients alike for her integrity, work ethic, and warm smile.
A woman of deep faith, Doris was a longstanding member of Rainbow Park Baptist Church in Decatur, Georgia, where she forged countless friendships and was cherished by all.
Doris is survived by her loving family, who will forever hold her dear: her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends. Her gentle spirit, generosity, and laughter will be dearly missed but fondly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
To honor and celebrate her remarkable life, the family will hold the following services:
- **Visitation** will be at Rainbow Park Baptist Church, Decatur, Georgia, on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
- **Interment** will take place at Lincoln Cemetery, Atlanta, Georgia, on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 1:00 PM.
- A **Celebration of Life** service will be held at Rainbow Park Baptist Church, Decatur, Georgia, on Monday, October 20, 2025, at 11:00 AM.
Arrangements have been lovingly entrusted to Gregory B. Levett & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Dekalb.
Doris will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to family, her ceaseless compassion, and a life well-lived. Her light will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her.
