Doris Ann Bischof, 92 (10 days shy of her 93rd birthday), a life-long resident of
Williamsport, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at her home. Doris was the best mom anyone could have ever asked for and is loved deeply by her 8 children who are heartbroken to lose her. Doris was born on May 20, 1932, a daughter of Harry J. and Frances A. (Hoffman) Wenner. Her husband of 51 years, Gerald F. Bischof, died September 29, 2004.
Doris was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and was a homemaker who kept a meticulous home. Doris was a sports enthusiast, loving the football season, especially Penn State.
Surviving are her children Steven (Vi) of Trout Run, Susan (Raymond) Evans of Williamsport, Gerald of Williamsport, Phyllis (Greg) Hayes of Loyalsock, Debbie (Dennis) Loner of Williamsport, Nancy (Rich) Okolovitch of Easton, Raymond (Annie) of Hubert, NC, Thomas (Lora) of Mechanicsburg, 14 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren; a brother Robert Wenner of Williamsport and a sister Carol Eck of Jersey Shore, PA.
In addition to her spouse and parents, grandson, Raymond Bischof, sisters, Helen Pugliese, Ruth Fischer, Ann Marie Suders and brother Paul Wenner all preceded her in death.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at St. Boniface Church, 326 Washington Boulevard, Williamsport, with her pastor, Rev. Glenn McCreary officiating
Burial will take place following the service in St Boniface Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests, memorial contributions in Doris's name may be made to St. Boniface Church, 326 Washington Blvd., Williamsport PA 17701.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to UPMC Hospice and Dr. John Pellegrino for all of their help and support.
