Doris M. Blocher

Doris M. Blocher, 91, of Hanover, PA entered God's eternal care on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at SpiriTrust Lutheran at Utz Terrace, Hanover, PA.

Born November 20, 1934, in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late Jesse E. and Anna P. (Legore) Miller. Doris was the loving wife of the late Larry G. Blocher with whom she shared 65 years of marriage until his passing on August 13, 2024.

Doris was a 1953 graduate of Hampstead High School, Hampstead, MD.

Doris retired in 2000, having worked at P & L Snacks, the Palmyra School District, the South Western School District, the Hanover Public School District, Black & Decker, and Commercial Credit.

Doris was a member of St. Mark's U.C.C. Snydersburg, Hampstead, MD, where she was in the church choir, and a secretary of Sunday School.

Doris traveled to all 50 states and more than 20 countries. She loved spending time with her family and friends.

Doris is survived by two daughters, Darlene Klenk and husband Jeff, and Brenda Burns and husband Jerry, Jr., four grandchildren, Courtney Burns, Katelyn Gray (Kevin), Jeremy Burns, and Tyler Klenk (Madison); 4 great-grandchildren, Lillian, Harrison, Jameson, Weston, and twins on the way; her siblings, Mary Lou Winter, Donna Jones, Carla Franklin, Barbara Leedy, and Jerry Miller; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Jean Graf and Janet Lang; and a brother, Earle Miller.

A funeral service will be held 11AM, Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at St. Mark's U.C.C. Snydersburg, 1616 Cape Horn Road, Hampstead, MD, with the Rev. Dr. Bella Winters officiating. Burial will be in St. Mark's Church Cemetery, Snydersburg, MD. A visitation and time to share memories with the family will be held from 6-8 PM, Monday, March 16, 2026, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, as well as from 10-11 AM, Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at the church.
