Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother
Doris Mae (nee Moran) Cassidy was born on July 16, 1928 in Richmond, Michigan. Her parents were Frank and Bernice (nee Green) Moran. She died on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, in the loving care of Beaumont Hospice, surrounded by the love of her family. Doris was 95 years of age.
Doris was the beloved wife of the late William A. Cassidy for 56 years. Bill preceded her in death in 2005. She is survived by her sons Michael W. Cassidy (Michelle) and Robert D. Cassidy, and her daughter Connie C. Azelton (Carl). Grandmother of Katie, Mackenzie, Megan and Kelli. Great-Grandmother of Charlotte and Brooklyn.
Doris was a resident of Beverly Hills, formally of Bingham Farms and Bloomfield Hills. She was a 1946 graduate of Richmond High school, where she played the trumpet in the marching band. She attended Eastern Michigan University. She was a long-time employee of Detroit Edison. After Doris and Bill married, she was a devoted housewife and was supportive of her husband's career with Ford Motor Company, Tractor Division. She was an educated and accomplished gourmet cook. She enjoyed dried flower decoupage and was a member of the Birmingham Garden Club. Doris and Bill enjoyed golf and bowling, and were active members at the Village Club in Bloomfield Hills. She was an active member at St. Fabian Catholic Church, and formally a parishioner at St Regis Catholic Church and St. Owen Catholic Church.
Burial services will be held privately at the Willow Grove Cemetery in Armada. Celebration of life services will be held at a later date.

I got to know your mother from her visits with your grandmother in Richmond. When your grandmother moved with Doris we visited them and had such a wonderful time. Your mother was always so welcoming and cheerful. An amazing woman. Prayers to all that loved her. Barb Bailer Bramlett
