Doris I. Craig, age 85, of Charleston, NY, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at the Mountain Valley Hospice in Gloversville.

Born in Pennsylvania on December 23, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Irene (Probst) Jambo.

Married for 49 extraordinary years, Doris was predeceased by her beloved husband, Adolph Craig, who passed away on August 3, 2008.

Doris left behind a legacy of compassion, evident in her many years serving as a home health aide with the visiting nurses in Johnstown. Her hands were rarely still, as she delighted in the craft of crocheting and caring for her garden. Her adventurous spirit shone brightly through the roar of her Harley Davidson motorcycle, a testament to her zest for life. Above all, Doris's happiest moments were those spent surrounded by her family, where her heart resided.

She is survived by her children, Lorraine Wellman (Randy) and Aaron Craig (Cherie); grandchildren John Flint, Amanda Marsh (Jonas), and Travis Pitt (Cheyenne); and great-grandchildren Contessa, Gabriel, Gian, and Leah; siblings, Margaret Bellinger, Peter Jambo, Steve Jambo (Gail), and Susan Roods (George), along with her several nieces, nephews, and cousins, also survive her.

In addition to her parents and husband, Doris is predeceased by her daughter, Ramona Craig and sister, Maryann Coons.

Calling hours for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home, 215 E. Main Street, Johnstown followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 PM at the funeral home, with Pastor Roche officiating.

Internment will immediately proceed at St. Cecilia Cemetery, Fonda, NY.
