Doris Dearmond

Doris G. DeArmond, 91 years of age, passed peacefully on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Logan Acres Care Center in Bellefontaine, OH. Doris was born March 19, 1932 in Huntington, Indiana to the late Jesse and Hazel Hunnicutt. She was one of 9 children, all preceding her in death. She married the late Robert E. DeArmond in 1950. Doris was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Bluffton, Indiana; where they raised their family of 3 boys in the home her husband was born in. She was a part of many different activities in the community and shared her love of cooking, cake baking and crafting with them all. They moved to Fort Myers, FL in 2005 and attended Cypress Lake Methodist Church. She lost Robert in 2014 and Doris came to live in Ohio in 2021 residing in a nursing home close to her family until her passing. Doris loved to read her bible, praying for and with others, spending time with family, laughing and always wearing a smile on her face. She was a loving and caring person, devoted wife, mother, and friend, always thinking of others first. "To know her was to love her." To cherish her loving memory, Doris leaves behind her children, Robert (Sue) DeArmond, James DeArmond and Bill DeArmond; 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. No funeral services will be held at this time, as the family will be celebrating her life privately at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home and Crematory
