Doris E. DiPietro

Stuart, FL- Doris E. DiPietro, a cherished resident of Stuart, FL, formerly of White Plains, NY, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2026, at the age of 93.

Born on July 20, 1932, in White Plains, NY, she was the daughter of the late Ronald and Borghild (nee: Olsen) Hagen.

Educated in her hometown, Doris was a proud graduate of White Plains High School, Class of 1949. Her love of learning took her further afield to Schenectady County Community College, Union College, and St. Rose College.

Doris's dedication to supporting others was evident through her work history. She was a committed employee as a chief accounting officer of the VA Hospital, first in Albany, NY, and later in Biloxi, MS. Doris's work ethic continued to shine in her later years at Walmart, where she was a familiar and friendly face to both colleagues and customers in Cobleskill, NY, and eventually in Stuart, FL.

Beyond her professional life, Doris had a passion for sports and recreation. She could be found on the baseball field as a talented pitcher, playing bocci ball or roller skating. The local bingo halls also knew her well, as she delighted in the thrill of the game and the community it brought together.

In quieter moments, Doris found solace in the pages of books, allowing her imagination and curiosity to travel far and wide. Her hands were rarely still, as she took to knitting, creating warmth and comfort for those she loved through her intricate and thoughtful works.

In addition to her parents, Doris was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Dominick "Sonnie" J. DiPietro, Jr.; her daughter, Susan DeLoach and her brother, John Hagen.

She is survived by her children, Evelyn Tinkham (the late Raymond), Donna Jennings (Keith), Linda Russo and Dominick Joseph DiPietro III (Pamela); 12 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and seven great- great grandchildren.

The Duck Wood Homeowners Associates will be celebrating their last original female owner on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 12pm at 6821 SE Lillian Ct, Stuart, FL 34997.

Services in her home state of New York will be held in the springtime.
