Doris (Harrington) Donahue, 95, of Braintree, died peacefully at home on June 7, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She fought a lengthy battle with cancer. She was the wife of the late Francis T. Donahue.
She is survived by her four children, Dr. Diane Thiboutot and her husband Dr. Ronald Thiboutot; Deborah DeJesus and her husband Enrique DeJesus; Janet McHugh; and Dr. William Donahue; and close family friend, Joei Wroten. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Dr. Jeffrey Thiboutot and his wife Danielle Thiboutot; Gabrielle Kiry and her husband Scott Kiry; Nicole DeJesus; Eric DeJesus; Holly Kelley and her husband Patrick Kelley; Mark McHugh and his fiancee Megan Green; Christine McHugh and her husband Todd Bertrand; Megan McHugh Woodman and her husband Chuck Woodman. She is also survived by her great grandchildren: Siena, Eva, Jonah, Gabe, Lucas, Lena, Zac and Zoe.
Doris loved theater and the arts as well as floral arranging. She enjoyed exercising as a long-time member of the Weymouth Club.
She was known for her sense of humor and acts of kindness. She made great friendships at Grove Manor where she lived for the past 6 years, following the sale of the family home in Braintree.
Visitation hours will be 8:30 A to 9:30 AM, Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Cartwright Venuti Funeral Home, 845 Washington Street, Braintree, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Braintree.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Doris' name can be made to the American Cancer Society.
