Doris A. Dresbach

Doris A. (Heberle) O'Neill Dresbach, age 94, formerly of Post Ave., passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2023. She was born in Erie on October 28, 1928, the daughter of the late John and Bertha (Weber) Heberle.
Doris was a graduate of Academy High School, Class of 1946. She worked as a secretary and receptionist at the former Lake Shore Lumber Co. for eleven years then also worked as a medical secretary for the late John J. DeMarco, MD for 18 years.
She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Peace Church for many years where she was active with the prayer line and the OLP Seniors Group. Doris was an avid bridge player and enjoyed music and playing the piano.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband "Al" Elwin Dresbach; two brothers, Paul and Lawrence Heberle; one sister, Rosemary Niebling; and her former spouse, James O'Neill.
Survivors include a daughter, Maureen Harkless, husband Christopher; a son, Matthew O'Neill; two grandchildren, "Jack" John and Lee Harkless; a great-grandson, Fynn Harkless; four stepchildren, Don Dresback, wife Pat, Bill Dresback, wife Judy, Patty Waisley, and David Dresback, wife Sheila; and several step-grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
Friends may call on Friday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th St. at Greengarden Blvd. and are also invited to call there on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of a service at 11 a.m. Entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery is private.
