Doris Rhea Allison Guinn departed this life on November 24, 2023, at the age of 86 years, one month and 15 days. She was born in Hardin County, Tennessee, on October 9, 1937, the daughter of the late Delmar Smith Allison and Mable Allison. On May 21, 1955, she was united in marriage to Lewis Franklin Guinn, Jr.
Doris enjoyed life with her husband and daughters and her large extended family. She also loved their home away from home on Dollfly Lane on the Tennessee River. Doris was a talented seamstress and even stitched some wedding and evening gowns and Barbie doll clothing for many in the community. She was also a great cook and shared her love of cooking and her great recipes with so many.
Doris is survived by her four daughters Regina Franklin and Rebecca Cromwell and late husband Phil Cromwell of Savannah, TN, Rene Worley and her husband Tom Worley of Cowan Tennessee, and Rita Sewell of Savannah, Tennessee. She was “Ma” to nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild: Jeromy Smith, Tori Thomas, Tiffany Beckham, Adam Cromwell, Betsy Berryhill, Matthew Worley, Hatley Kilgore, Karisten Martin, Kirby Petty, McKinley Smith, Cruz Thomas, Colt Thomas, Carter Beckham, Case Beckham, Clay Beckham, Claire Beckham, Gavin Cromwell, Grayson Cromwell, Jax Berryhill, Ava Berryhill, Henry Kilgore, Rhett Martin, Oliver Petty, Elliott Petty and Mable Beckham.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her brother Don Allison.
