Doris A. Hardwick, 62, of Roxana, passed away on Monday, December 8, 2025.
She was born on March 26, 1963, in Alton, Illinois, the daughter of Harold Damon and Charlene L. (Usher) Hardwick.
Doris worked at SIUE as a secretary for 30 1/2 years until her retirement in 2014. She was of the faith of Assembly of God. Doris loved animals and children alike. She was especially fond of her special cat, Hope Kitty, that she raised from the time she was a bottle fed kitten. She didn't know a stranger, and cherished the time spent with her friends and family.
She is survived by her sister, Cheryl Hardwick of Alton; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Randy Hardwick.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025, from 9:30 am until time of service at 11 am, at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens. Pastor Timothy Keller will officiate.
Memorials are suggested to the funeral home to help with final expenses.
