Doris Hesen Obituary
Doris was born July 4, 1932 in Louisville, KY to Anthony Jospeh Reker and Clara Agnes (Ullrich) Reker. Doris graduated from Ursuline Academy High School in Louisville, KY. She loved playing the piano, was a home maker for her family, and a long time member of Epiphany Catholic Church.
She married Herman Hesen III, on September 7, 1968. They were married forty-three years prior to his passing in 2011.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Anthony Reker; nephews, Stephen and Richard Reker.
She is survived by her son, David Hesen; sister, Carol (Reker) Van Nort; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, January 12, 2026, at Ratterman Brothers Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Rd. "In Middletown".
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, January 13, 2025, at Epiphany Catholic Church, 914 Old Harrods Creek Rd, Louisville, KY, 40223. A luncheon at will follow the mass.
Burial will follow the luncheon at Calvary Cemetery, 1600 Newburg Road, Louisville, KY, 40205.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be sent to Dreams With Wings, 1579 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY, 40205; or charity of your choice.
