Doris H Heulitt

Doris H. Heulitt nee Harvey, 90, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Doris was married for 71 years to the love of her life, Leon A. Heulitt, who passed away on September 3, 2023. Doris and Leon had met and fell in love in high school. Doris was a life-long housewife, dedicated to her husband and children. She was a long-time member of Manasquan United Methodist Church, being very involved with the United Methodist women and the Quilting Bees. Doris loved to sew and knit, as well as quilt. Family members and friends have been fortunate to receive hand made items, made by Doris, including quilts, afghans, Christmas stockings and placemats. There was no sewing job that she wouldn't tackle, including material car seats!
Doris was predeceased by her loving husband Leon A. Heulitt; her father and mother, Walter and Viola Harvey; and her two brothers, Walter and Richard Harvey. Doris is survived by her four daughters and their husbands: Lynn and Michael Phillippe, Bullock, NC; Shirley and Charles Witte, Wall, NJ; Kathy and David Patterson, Spring, TX; and Virginia and Michael Tesch, Brick, NJ. Doris was a loving grandmother to; Stephanie(Rich); Chip(Colleen); Matt(Amy); Chris(Thuan); Mark; Michael(Katie); Scott(fiancé Brenna); Megan(Patrick); and Kate. Doris is also survived by her sister-in-law, Lois Harvey-Pollard, and by her 10 great-grandchildren, as well as her several nieces and nephews.
