Doris Jablowski

Doris Minnich Jablowski went to be with her Savior on September 4, 2023. She was 82 years old.
Doris was the daughter of Paul and Helen Minnich, born in Tremont, Pennsylvania on November 15, 1940. Her mother passed away when she was fifteen months, and she was raised by her loving parents, John and Fredia Harring of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Doris was a graduate of the GAR class of 1958. She attended Wilkes-Business College and graduated from Pittston Hospital School of Nursing in 1962, beginning her work as an R.N. for forty-five years. She worked for over thirty-seven years at Sparrow Clinton Hospital, where she served in many capacities and developed many lifelong friendships.
Doris enjoyed fellowship with family and friends, and at her church, St. John's Lutheran Church in St. Johns. Traveling was also high on her list, and her European visits were special. Through the years she was involved with teaching Sunday School, 4-H, farming, and helping anyone in need, including her many animals that she took in at her home.
She is survived by her husband of over fifty-eight years, Stanley Jablowski; her daughter, Melissa Jablowski; brothers, William Harring of Wilkes-Barre, PA, and Richard Harring and his wife Joyce, of The Villages, FL; her dear Bill Harmon and his family; many great cousins, the Stillers, Harrings, Griffiths, and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul, Helen, and Pearl Minnich; John and Fredia Harring; sister-in-law Betty Harring; her in-laws, Stanley and Francis Jablowski, brother-in-law, John Jablowski, and sister-in-law, Flossie Jablowski.
Visitation will be held at McGeehan Funeral Home, Keck-Coleman Chapel, 1500 Waterford Parkway, St. Johns, on Sunday, September 10, from 1-3PM and 5-7PM.
A Funeral Service will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church, 511 E. Sturgis, St. Johns, on Monday, September 11, at 11AM with Pastor Jim Pearl officiating. Friends may visit the church on Monday from 10 AM until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Mt. Rest Cemetery, St. Johns. Following graveside services a luncheon will be served at the church.
Memorials may be made to the St. John's Lutheran Church Building Fund.
