Doris Jarrell, 87, of Lakeland Florida, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in 1937, Mars Hill, North Carolina, Doris was the daughter of Jessie Tom and Sallie (Hamlin) Norton. A devoted homemaker throughout her life, Doris found great joy in caring for her family, spending time in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina, and leisurely cruising the Caribbean Sea.
Preceded in death by Cecil her loving husband of 58 years, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters.
She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Carroll (Michael) and Pamela Brock (Lawrence), and her son, Michael Jarrell (Vicki), 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, 3 siblings (Nick, Tim, and Perry) and many nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Lung Association, www.lung.org., Tunnel to Towers Foundation, wwwT2T.org, or Breakthrough T1D, www.breakthrought1d.org.
Doriss warm spirit, love for her family, and appreciation for lifes simple pleasures will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
