Michael Jarrell

Michael Eugene Jarrell, age 73, of Covington, Georgia, died June 30, 2025. He was born on April 18, 1952, one of eight children of Carl & Wilma Jarrell. A master mechanic, working on cars brought him much enjoyment and purpose. Additionally, he was an avid NASCAR fan and delighted in watching a good western. More than anything, however, Michael was devoted to his Lord and his family. He will be remembered as a loving and supportive husband, father, and grandfather, whose family was his most cherished treasure.
Preceding him in death were his grandson, Justin Alan Young; parents; maternal grandmother, Ruby Hicks; siblings, Pamela Martin, Billy Jarrell, Robbie Jarrell, Michelle Conrad, Teresa Jarrell.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 46 years, Susan Jarrell; children and their spouses, Bevard & Gabette Young, Marlo & Brent Batts; grandchildren, Joseph Johnson, Olivia Johnson, J D Young, Justin Ford, Carley Ford; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ricky & Debra Jarrell, Johnny & Angie Jarrell; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
A funeral service will be held 11 o'clock, Thursday, July 3, in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Pittard officiating and interment following in Hillandale Memorial Park. J D Young, Justin Ford, Johnny Jarrell, Bobby Dunning, Steven Hicks and Michael Denny will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 2, from 6-8 PM, at Henry Funeral Home, Lithonia, 6833 Church Street, Lithonia, GA.
