Doris A. Javens

Doris A. Javens, age 86, of Galion passed away, Thursday March 26, at Altercare of Bucyrus.

Born February 5, 1940 in Hanlin Station, PA, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Mary Elizabeth "Beth" (Fulton) Kinney. She married Harry L. Javens on February 6, 1958, and he preceded her in death on March 15, 2013.

Doris worked for 8 years at Porky's Drive-in in Galion and then for 15 years at Polk Township AMVETS 1979 where she was a lifetime Auxiliary member. She loved to play bingo, read and work on puzzles. She loved to spend time with her family.

She is survived by her sons: Howard (Tina) Javens, Ric (Dawn) Javens, Harry "Bonesy" (Michelle) Javens Jr. and Jeffrey (Davette) Javens, grandchildren; Dustin Javens, Ashley Javens, Richard Javens II, Noah Javens and Brian Javens, numerous great grandchildren and siblings: Shirley Aspert, Mary Louise Albert and Harold (Pat) Kinney.

In addition to her parents and husband Harry, she was preceded in death by her brother Howard Kinney, sister Betty Marchegiano, brothers Wilbur and Dale Kinney and grandson Brandon Javens.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Tuesday March 31, 2026 and from 10:00 Am – 11:00 AM Wednesday April 1, 2026 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will follow at 11:00 AM with Pastor Donna Ball officiating. Burial will follow in Franks Cemetery, North Woodbury.
