Mrs. Doris Mai Jones, age 71, of McMinnville, TN passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at her residence. She was born on September 05, 1953 in Carthage, TN, was a homemaker; owned a restaurant and gas station, and worked at various places in her life time. She was a member of First Baptist Church of McMinnville where she previously served as a devoted Sunday School teacher and a VBS volunteer. Doris enjoyed reading, gardening, and was filled with joy that her precious grandchildren gave her.

Survivors include her children Tim (Gretchen) Jones, Chelsie (Matthew) Davenport, sisters Gail Mosley Shirley and Lynette (Billy) Bumbalough, and grandchildren Preston Young, Grace Young, Megan Davenport, Kaden (Kassidy) Davenport, and great grandchild Ryder Davenport. She was preceded in death by her parents Carlos Mack Mosley and Rosie Mosley, husband Kenneth Arvell Jones, and brother Mack Mosley.

Funeral services for Mrs. Jones are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 16, 2025 in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Bo Hendrix will officiate. Interment will follow at Jefferson Cemetery in Smithville, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 15 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and again on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until service time at 2:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Relay For Life or the Ronald McDonald House.
