Mr. William Roger Cope, age 75, of McMinnville, TN passed away on Monday, August 18, 2025 at his sisters' residence. He was born on June 07, 1950 to the late Armon Carl Cope and Dorothy Jean Griffin Davis. Mr. Cope was in the U.S. Marine Corps for 22 years and served during the Vietnam Era. Aside from serving our country, he was a member of the First United Methodist Church of McMinnville and worked at the post office as a mail carrier for several years.

He is survived by sisters Thelma Jean Kast, Shirley June (Billy) Taylor, Rebecca Kay Kelley, and brother Jeremy (Wanda) Davis. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. He is preceded in death by his sister Jackie Elaine Smartt, and brother Armon Carl Cope, Jr. The family would like to extend thanks to Gentiva Home Health for the generosity during their time with Mr. Cope.

Funeral services for William Roger Cope are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 21, 2025 in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Jim Zlaten will officiate. Interment will follow at Davis Cemetery in Warren County. Military grave rites will be administered by the Bobby Ray Marine Detachment. The family of Mr. Cope will receive friends on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and again on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until service time at 11:00 A.M. in the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.
