Doris Mae Klug, age 93, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones at AngelsGrace Hospice on October 13, 2025. Dorie was born on July 30, 1932, in Laona, Wisconsin, to Henry and Eva Fossman (nee Young).
Dorie dedicated her life to her family and took immense pride in being a grandmother and great-grandmother. Her life was filled with love and dedication; she was the heart of her family. She took great joy in caring for those around her, always putting their needs before her own. She often lent her caregiving heart to others who needed support, including her sister. She was not only a caregiver but a constant source of love, support, and humor.
Dorie was a great cook, and her plates were always served warm. She had a deep affection for animals, sharing her home with many beloved dogs and a few cats throughout the years. Her passion for life also led her to enjoy golfing, gardening and visiting "up north," where she made countless memories with family and friends.
Dorie's vibrant personality shone brightly in her love for game shows, puzzles, and bingo, where her quick wit and funny sense of humor were often the life of the party.
Dorie is survived by her children Richard (Julie) Klug and Marilyn (Thomas) Luehring; grandchildren Lisa (Jeff) Smith, Ryan (Katie) Klug, Daniel (Elizabeth) Klug, Sarah (Patrick) DeVorse and Carrie (Paul) Stewart; great-grandchildren Austin and Ashley Smith, Ava, Gwen, Emmett and Archie Klug, Evan Friese, Reilly and Jackson Stewart, Mason, Wyatt and Haden DeVorse, Ruby and Koen Klug; step-grandchildren Tommy, Sarah and Michael Luehring; brother Raymond (Gail) Fossman; along with many other family and friends.
Dorie is preceded in death by her husband Roland; her parents; sisters Lorraine Kopchinski, Sylvia Sallis and Edith Klement; brother Henry Fossman Jr.; great-grandson Tanner DeVorse; and great-granddaughters Mirabel and Lilou Klug.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the remarkable staff at AngelsGrace Hospice; their compassion and support were a true blessing during this time.
