Doris M. Levesque

SHIRLEY- Doris M. Stebbins) Levesque, 90, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2024 at Nashoba Valley Medical Center.
Doris was born in Shirley, MA to George and Mary (Owens) Stebbins on October 11, 1933. She was a proud, lifelong resident of Shirley where she met the love of her life, Alphee P. Levesque, Jr. and built their forever home together and raised their children.
Doris attended Shirley Schools and Saxon Trade School in Leominster, MA where she learned to be a seamstress. She used those skills when she worked at George Frost Company in Shirley before becoming a full time stay at home mother and homemaker. Doris enjoyed family gatherings, vacations and watching her grandchildren play sports.
Doris is survived by her husband, Alphee of 68 years along with her son, Dennis and daughter in law Colleen (McGinnis), daughter Lorna (Levesque) Schwartz and son in law, David, five grandchildren, Kristy (Levesque) O'Connor, Matthew Levesque, Stephanie (Schwartz) Hemenway, Shannon (Schwartz) Lawton, Sabrina (Schwartz) Carroll, 10 great-grandchildren. Doris is also survived by her brother, Roger Stebbins of Shirley and sister-in-law Jeannette Larochelle of Shirley along with several nieces and nephews and extended family.
She is predeceased by her brother Daniel formerly of Shirley and Lunenburg.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday May 10, at 10:30AM in St. Anthony's Church, 14 Phoenix St., Shirley. Burial will follow in St. Anthony's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday May 9, from 4 to 7PM in the Anderson Funeral Home, 25 Fitchburg Rd., Ayer.
