LONG- Doris Long, age 77 of Covington, Georgia passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 2 PM in the Monroe Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. James Peacock officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM. Doris was a retired beautician. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and she loved her family. She enjoyed the outdoors - especially the mountains. She was a very caring woman, and she never treated anyone as a stranger. Doris was preceded in death by her, son, Ryan Redmon; parents, Jesse and Mary (Calhoun) Peavy. She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Long of Covington; sons and daughter-in-law, Mark Franklin of Monroe, Jesse (Tondi) Franklin of Covington; grandchildren, Peyton Redmon, Kealy Franklin, Krae (Kristy) Franklin, Karley Franklin, Kennedy Redmon; great-grandchildren, Kensleigh Baker, Emberleigh Franklin, Raeleigh Butler, Kyler Franklin; sister, Sue Peavy. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (Kids at Heart Program).
