1925 - 2026
Doris Fisher Lubin, 101, of Danbury, widow of Dr. Edward Lubin, died on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Danbury Hospital. A funeral service will be held at The United Jewish Center, 141 Deer Hill Ave., Danbury, CT, on a date to be shared as soon as possible. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to The Brookfield Theatre for the Arts or The United Jewish Center. My sincere condolences to the entire Lubin family. I have been blessed to share the last few years getting to know and love Doris, as everyone who knew her already had. A woman of energy, compassion and expression, which was stated in all of her accomplishments, that unfortunately I did not have the time to learn the fullness of her life. That said, I am grateful to the family for sharing her with my recreational team, who loved her, and our lives have been blessed to have shared and provided quality to her life as she provided to ours. Thank you with all our love!

Our sincere condolences to the Lubin family. She was a dear friend of ours since the day we met when we arrived in Danbury in the early 1960´s!
She had a remarkable long life, dedicated to her family, friends & the United Jewish Center. She will be missed by so many of us.
