Doris Juanita Fagan Lutz, 94 of Winnsboro, SC passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 15, 2023.
Doris was born in Winnsboro, SC on February 12, 1929, to the late George Washington and Ella Baker Fagan. Throughout her life; she, her husband and her children lived in different parts of South Carolina. After the passing of her husband in 1998, she spent her remaining years in Columbia, SC.
She loved to visit and enjoyed cooking for all that came. She enjoyed her day trips with her cousin, Alma Frick, going out to eat with her sister-in-law Betty Fagan, as well as spending time with family and friends. She was a devoted member of both Kershaw Church of God and North Columbia Church of God. She was affectionately known as "Gemaw" or "Grandma" from her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had the voice of an angel and loved to sing old gospel hymns.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Morgan Lutz and her sons Donnie and Mark Lutz, as well as her granddaughter Crystal Lutz. She is survived by her children Brenda Hodges, George (Susan) Lutz and Cordia Lutz wife of the late Donnie Lutz; grandchildren Tammy (Brad) Graubeger, George Lutz, Jr., Scarlet (Mike) Kasperbauer, Jacob (April) Lutz, Jordan (Traci) Lutz, Victoria (Elijah) DeLoach, Juleah Lutz, Jeremiah Lutz, Lisa (Mike) Lutz, Sherra (Aaron) Turner, Tonya Lutz, Byron (Katie) Lutz, Sarah (Kevin) Newton and many great grandchildren; along with countless nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are George Lutz, Jr., Jacob Lutz, Jordan Lutz, Jeremiah Lutz, Jody Ray Lutz Miles and Tim Huffstetler.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 o'clock on Tuesday, February 21st, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia, SC. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 7100 Garners Ferry Road, Columbia, SC. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service beginning at 10 o'clock.

Theresa, the other lady in the photo, is aunt her sister. Very proud to say is my loving mother, Bertha Warren. They were very close. So many good memories being with them. Not a dull moment with those two together.

She was best friends with my grandmother, Mildred Brewer and I have so many memories of her. I am also curious who the woman is in the first photo with her as I have memories of visiting her also as a child.

So many great memories with my dear aunt Doris. Her laugh would light up a room. She was in every sense of the word good and decent and loving. Even tho my health didn´t allow me to visit. I thought of and remember something you said or did so often. Always brought a smile to my heart.
