Doris Irene McLiechey

Our dear Doris Irene McLiechey sadly passed away on January 14, 2023 at the age of 76. Born on July 22, 1946 to father, Thomas and mother, Oleda McLiechey. Doris was a wonderful wife to Nem H. Cochran, wonderful mother and grandmother who was always there when you needed her the most. Doris was a frisky lady but always kept a smile on everyone's face. She enjoyed spending time with family and playing some good card games. She especially loved her comfort food. Doris had many friends and was a well loved member of the community in Battle Creek.
Doris leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, JoAnne (John) Capers, Melissa Cochran, Margaret Cochran; son, Nem Jr. (Shauma) Cochran, all of Battle Creek, MI; grandsons, Jerome, Freddy, Devin, Michael, Christopher, Deshawn Jr., Montez, Monzel, Radiance, Malaysia, Jazzman, Tyiona, Tyiera, Ne'Mariah, Sha'Nasia and Sha'Mia; 29 great grandchildren; sisters, Phillis Webster of Seattle, WA, Patricia Mae Brooks "Patty" of Milwakee, WI; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Oleda McLiechy; brothers, Thomas W. McLiechey, Michael McLiechey; sister, Shirley Taylor; grandson, Tray'Shawn Cochran and great granddaughters, Nyeli Cochran.
Doris was greatly loved, her memories will forever cherished and she will be deeply missed.
