Travis James Robinson, 31, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2025. He was born on February 3, 1994, the son of Harold "Jim" James Robinson and Marjorie "Margie" Rose (Lanko) Craig.
Travis attended high school and later received his GED. He worked as a roofer, painter and was most recently employed at Woody's Tree Service as a tree trimmer and Craig's Custom Fabrications. Travis was a member of various motorcycle clubs, loved to work on automobiles and his boat and had a passion for anything that had a motor and went fast.
Travis is survived by his children, Ryder and RyLee Robinson; fiancé, Lauren LaFrance; father, Jim (Katherine) Robinson; mother, Margie (Adam) Craig; sisters, Brittany Robinson, Victoria Robinson Sarah Ganger; brother, Ian Osborne; nieces, Kaylee, Kaidence, Audree, Ava, Arieah, Anna Leah, Maddie Lynn, Lilly; nephews, Kaleb, Johnnie, JR, Owen, Luca; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bryan D. Robinson, Lois J. (Straubel) Robinson, Maggie Parsons, Jean Stromshak, Johnnie L. Lanko; brothers, Johnnie Henderson III, Daniel Thorp; uncle, John F. Lanko; aunt, Sheri Lanko; nephew, Daniel Thorp Jr.; great grandparents, Robert L. Straubel, Lois I. Straubel-Guthrie, Harold M. Robinson, Arlene S. Robinson; great uncles, Robert "Joe" J. Straubel, Willard "Butch" Straubel; aunt, Susan Straubel; and cousin, Eric Straubel.
As a young teen, Travis was involved in baseball, basketball, football and during his high school years, wrestled for Battle Creek Central for 2 years. He participated in a few 5K's with his dad, loved having cookouts with his family and friends, and took pride in making everyone laugh. Everyone knew when Travis was laughing because it was loud and very unique. Travis was a giver, he gave to those around him, his time, presence and knowledge of everything motors was valued by many. He enjoyed being on his motorcycle, boat and tubing, spending time with his family and loved being the life of the party. Travis was always ready for the next adventure, a free spirit who enjoyed life and made memories that will last a lifetime.
Friends and family are welcome for visitation at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service on Thursday, July 17, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
Funeral services will be held at the Journey Church on Friday, July 18, 2025, starting at 12:00 pm. Interment will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery immediately following the service.
