James Salinas, 56, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away after a long and faithful fight, on October 11, 2025 surrounded by the love and care of his family. He was born June 24th, 1969 to Wenceslado and Hilda (Salas) Salinas.
James is survived by his wife Marcella (Sanchez) Salinas of Battle Creek, Michigan, Son, Santiago (Norma) Salinas, Daughter, Cynthia (Dylan) Wiescholek, and three Grandchildren, Penelope, Sophie, and Luke. Father Wenceslado Salinas, Sister, Sandy Salinas and Nephew James Dylan Cruz, and Brother, Eloy Salinas. He was preceded in death by his beloved Mother, Hilda Salinas.
In 1988, James met the love of his life Marcy and truly adored her for 37 years, from the moment they met to to his last breath. James would go on to be a most incredible father to his two kids and raise them to be patient, loving, and wildly hilarious just like him. He would then continue to be the most beloved and cherished grandpa to Penelope, Sophie, and Luke. He celebrated their every moment and made them feel special in every way. James was a family man through and through and loved greatly by his extended family and becoming like a son to Marta and Lupe Sanchez. And even though he was far from home he took regular phone calls with his best friend and sister, Sandy.
In his pass time, he enjoyed fishing and listening to music, his favorite being Rock and Tejano music. He was a great dancer with his wife. James also loved the Dallas Cowboys and spending Sundays with his family hooting and hollering at the games.
James was a follower of God's word. He was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witness's in April 1997, which he reminded his family often, was one of his proudest accomplishments. Even though he sleeps in death now, he had the strongest faith and confidence that he would be made new in paradise in the future.
James' beautiful smile and encouraging conversations will be missed greatly!
Memorial service is to take place on Saturday, October 25th, 2025 at 1:00 PM, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 5561 Morgan Road East, Battle Creek, MI, 49037
