Doris Opheim Obituary
Doris was born February 13, 1933, to the late Ernest and Esther Nelson. She was born and raised in Minnesota before settling in Michigan. She loved to stay active; dancing and playing all different sports, her favorite being bowling and golfing. Doris was an exceptional card player and could beat most of her family and friends in a game of Gin Rummy. Her greatest joy in life was the family she created and raised along side her husband, Gordon.
Beloved wife of the late Gordon Opheim. Cherished mother of Ernest (Karen) Opheim and Theresa (Mark) Alaszewski. Loving grandmother of Elizabeth, Kathryn, Megan, Claire, and Jay. Proud great grandma of Avary, Gavin, Marlee, Kaylani, Zennon, Sloane, and Findley. Dear sister of the late Beverly.
A memorial gathering will take place Wednesday, March 20, 2024, from 12pm until the time of service, 3pm, at Chas. Verheyden, Inc, 43300 Garfield Road, Clinton Township, 48038.
