Framma Doris, you were and are so loved. We will all miss you so much. Your infectious enthusiasm for life, family, friends, and food was unmatched. It was impossible not to have a good time when you were around. I will always remember and appreciate all the family reunions, Christmas and New Years celebrations, special trips to visit us at important moments in our lives or just for fun, and all the memories and stories you would share. Thank you for your hard work and dedication to researching and documenting our connections to our ancestry in Scotland, and also for your passion for Southern-ness and Confederate state history. It is an essential part of the identity of the man I am today. I am so sad that we will never be able to spend another Christmas with you or share another meal together. I love you so much Framma and I wish you were still here with us. I pray that in God's loving arms you are feeling all the warmth and joy and wholesomeness that you gave to all of us. Goodbye.

I was so sorry to hear this news. I remember Doris being so spunky and always a lot of fun at the Forbes family reunions. My dad (Alan, who passed away earlier this year) was very fond of her. Sending love and condolences to the whole family.

I am so sorry to hear about Aunt Doris she was such a wonderful person with a great soul. Always willing to help anyone and loved to tell stories which I will miss. Praying for comfort for the family during this time. Cousin Michelle thank you so much for all the updates the last few months it is very appreciated so we could share with our family. We have prayed for a much better outcome but God is in control and wanted her to be with him so find comfort in knowing she is at peace and resting with no pain anymore. We love you'll and know we are here for anything you need. Arie thank you so much for taking care of Aunt Doris all these years you are a great person and we love you like family. May God bless you'll and help you find a path to heal.

I will always remember Doris for her great enthusiasm in everything she participated in, but most importantly, I will remember how much she loved my mom! I´m so thankful that I was able to get to know Doris. Love, hugs and prayers to all the family Teresa Hamby.
