Doris Reeves Obituary
Born in Aiken, she was a daughter of the late Guy and Clare Seigler Reid. Doris was a graduate of Strom Thurmond High School Class of 1962 and was formerly employed with Bi-Lo. She was always on the go, embracing life with a vibrant enthusiasm. Doris loved to travel, often visiting her favorite destinations in Pigeon Forge, Destin, Florida, and Ft. Myer. Despite her many adventures, Doris' greatest joy was always found at home, where she embraced her roles as a devoted mother and grandmother. She was a dedicated member of the Augusta Highway Baptist Church and her warmth, kindness, and unwavering faith touched everyone she encountered.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Lloyd and a sister, Elizabeth "Lib" Padgett.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her children, Shane Weatherford (Lisa), Jennifer Barger (Jon), Nicki Lewis (Joe) and Sandy Reeves; sisters, Annie Mae Ellis (Roger) and Joyce Vickery (Jeff); grandchildren, Cole, Cassey, Ginna, Hunter, Michaela, Elissa, Savannah, CJ, Wesley, Rachel, Bryan and Shanna; and great grandchildren, Harper, Ansel, Parker, Knox, Sawyer, Emma, Khilie, Laylah and Skylar.
Services will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday at Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenny Griffin officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be CJ Lewis, David Wright, Bryan Lewis, Travis Reeves, Kyle Griffin, Rudy Wallace, Wesley Fleming, Ty Vines and Russell Vines.
Honorary escort will be the members of the American Legion Post 20 and 103, McCormick Veteran Association, Lakelands Marine 1112, Veterans of Foreign War and Disable American Veterans.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home before the service from 12 noon-2pm.
Memorials may be made to Hospice House of the Piedmont, 408 West Alexander Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29646 or to Augusta Highway Baptist Church, 3716 Hwy 25, Greenwood, SC 29646.
The family is at the home of Carolyn Vines, 107 Epworth Camp Road, Ninety Six, SC 29666.
