Doris June Roberts was a dearly loved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. Although her given first name was Doris, she was known by her middle name, June, to all her family and friends.

June graduated from Round Rock High School in 1947 where she met the love of her life and husband of 74 years Wayland Lee Roberts. The two were married in 1948 and lived their lives together in happiness in the Austin and Bastrop areas. June was born in rural central Texas and spent the majority of her childhood on a farm, these values and practices she would continue for the rest of her life. She worked as a clerk and assistant for the Department of Public Safety, in Austin for over 30 years. June enjoyed traveling with Wayland in their younger years, often traveling to Las Vegas. They also loved to camp and travel to natural parks and monuments. In the 1970’s June and Wayland bought several acres of property in Cedar Creek, Texas and lived out the majority of their golden years there: fishing, gardening, and working the land. June also was an avid bowler, and was a member of local bowling leagues, where she won several trophies.

June is survived by her son Jimmy (wife Judi); daughter Lisa (husband Charlie); daughter-in law Cindy; grandchildren Kim (husband Mike), Joe (wife Natasha), Sarah (husband Keith), Matthew (wife Kaci), Gina (husband Michael), Kevin (wife Meredith), Chad (wife Thera), Kyle (wife Mary), & Kelli (husband Jason); great-grandchildren Caleb, Chloe, Cora, Joe Jr., Hadley, Wesley, Miranda, Samantha, Jocelyn, Luke, Ivy, Riggs, Dylan, Cadyn, & Troy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

June was preceded in death by her beloved husband Wayland Roberts in April 2022, and son Ronnie Roberts in October 2019.

June was greatly loved by her family and friends, and will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.
