Doris Harriet Robinson, age 92, of Greencastle, PA passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Luther Ridge Retirement Village. Born in Greene Township, PA, on June 17, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Alonza Emery McClure and Hazel Young McClure Reed.
Mrs. Robinson worked for her grandfather Young as a teen at Eagle Mountain Orchard, located in Greene Township. She was later employed in the dietary department at Chambersburg Hospital and then the housekeeping department at the former Leader and Manor Care Nursing home in Chambersburg. Mrs. Robinson was a member of Antrim Brethren in Christ Church. In her later years, she enjoyed reading, doing code words, and completing adult coloring books.
Surviving are four daughters, Carol A. Robinson of Greencastle, PA, Brenda K. Robinson of Greencastle, PA, Bonny L. Brubaker (husband Jay) of Chambersburg, PA, and Sherry L. Cheatham (husband Harlan) of Chambersburg, PA; two grandsons, Shawn Brubaker (wife Christy) of Baltimore, MD and Lynn Brubaker (wife Kelly) of Carlisle, PA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Robinson on May 6, 2024, a sister, Patricia Deardorff, and a half-brother, Lynn Reed.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 1 PM at Antrim Brethren in Christ Church, 24 Kauffman Rd., East, Chambersburg, PA 17202, where Pastor Casey Hurst will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the above church and address. Interment will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Inc., Greencastle, PA. Online condolences may be offered on her page at www.zimmermanfh.com.
