Doris Smith Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Gardner Funeral Home, Runnemede on Oct. 1, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

Doris E. Smith (nee Humphreys) of Mullica Hill, NJ, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2025, at the age of 79.

She was the beloved wife of Warren Smith for 57 beautiful years. A devoted mother to Mark Smith (Carolyn) and Gary Smith (Connie), and the most loving "Mom-Mom" to her cherished grandchildren - Ashley, Megan, Kennedy, and Avery - who were truly the light of her life.

Doris is also survived by her dear sister, Mary Tyler, along with many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends who loved her dearly. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Wanda Humphreys and her brother Chuck.

Doris spent many years as a teacher, where her gentle spirit and kindness touched countless young lives. She adored the Philadelphia Phillies, loved scrapbooking and crafting, and found joy in the simple things - especially family trips to Ocean City, NJ, where so many treasured memories were made.

Above all, Doris was a woman of deep love and unwavering dedication to her family. Her warmth, laughter, and constant support will be missed more than words can say.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, from 10:00am to 11:45am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 200 E. Clements Bridge Road, Runnemede, NJ 08078, followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 noon. Interment will be held privately at the family's request.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Doris's memory may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church https://trinityrunnemede.org/donations.html
