Doris L. Strunack

Doris L. (Reese) Strunack, age 88, of Boyertown, formerly Spring City and Pottstown, passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021 in her residence. Born on June 30, 1933 in Pottstown, she was a daughter of the late Marion O. (Rahn) and John J. Reese Sr. Doris had been employed for many years at Reese’s West End Market and Rosenberry’s Supermarket. She has been a past member of the Manatawny Association, where she was a member of the women’s shuffleboard team, the Pikeville Sportsmen’s Association, and the Flag House Tenant Association. She was an avid reader, enjoyed yard sales and operated a stand at Jake’s Flea Market for 20 years. Doris is survived by her children: Cindy L., wife of Thomas Powanda, of Boyertown, Tammy Lynn Klotzbach, wife of Scott Levan, of Phoenixville and Michael John Strunack, of Pottstown; siblings: John J. “Jack,” husband of Maria Reese, of Douglas, WY and Alice Nester, of Boyertown; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter: Sherry Lee Davidson; and sister: Mildred Fout. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at 10:30 am at the Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford. Officiating will be Pastor Chad Stoecker. Interment will follow in the Highland Memorial Park, Pottstown.
