Doris M. Tadey (nee Krall) Age 90, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 11, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Doris was born and raised in Joliet, lived in Lockport for many years; and was a resident of The Timbers of Shorewood of late. She was a graduate of St. Joseph Catholic School in Joliet and JTHS class of 1952. She was employed by the Joliet Army Ammunition Plant and the American Institute of Laundry as an executive secretary relocating to Pasadena, CA. Doris retired as a typesetter from Joliet Litho Print in 1999 after many years of dedicated service, and forming many lifelong friendships. She was a member of St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church, Joliet and St. Joseph Catholic Church, Lockport. Doris was an avid reader, loved the Lockport library and contributed as a Centennial Donor. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, baking, but above all else she cherished the time spent with her family. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Anthony Tadey (2000); parents, Joseph and Frances (nee Gregorich) Krall; and two cherished sisters, Joan (Jim) Frieders and Lois Lindstrom. Survived by her devoted children, Mary Tadey, Michelle (Michael) Paszyna and John Tadey; one adored granddaughter, Gabrielle Pawlak, and numerous loving nieces, nephews, and cherished family members and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Lightways Hospice, Joliet in Doris's name would be greatly appreciated. Visitation will be held in the O'Neil Funeral Home Chapel 1105 E. 9th St. Lockport, IL 60441on Thursday, August 14, 2025, from 9:00am until prayers at 10:00am. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church 416 N. Chicago St. Joliet, IL 60432, Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 11:00am. Private interment following Mass at St. Mary Nativity Catholic Cemetery, Joliet.
